Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Assistant to join our team. As the Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions in our team.

Responsibilities:
__

Serve as the primary point of contact for financial inquiries from members and our team.

Review all incoming invoices on a weekly basis and maintain awareness of all agreements to identify any discrepancies.

Maintain an overview of all income and expenses for each department (restaurant, events, banqueting, etc.) to track financial performance.

Stay informed about contractual agreements and contract expiration dates, and monitor them closely.

Monitor budgets and alert the team if, for example, procurement costs are too high or if excessive purchases are noticed without corresponding figures in the financial records.

Attend team meetings to align financial goals with weekly/monthly/yearly targets and provide concrete figures to support those goals.

Demand and manage financial data from various teams (kitchen, events, etc.) at the end of each week, including forecasts for the following week, to establish a routine of financial tracking as part of weekly operations.

Proficient in Exact, Lightspeed, and other relevant systems, with an analytical approach to generate accurate reports. Have a good understanding of VAT percentages and related aspects.

Prior experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment, is highly desirable.

Requirements:
__

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial or administrative role.

Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a hotel, restaurant, or similar setting, is preferred.

You live in Amsterdam or close by.

Proficiency in Exact, Lightspeed, and other relevant financial systems.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
